Chinese Spring roll
Spring roll is either eaten fresh or fried in some countries.Spring rolls also come in a number of varieties. They can generally be divided into fried and non-fried varieties.Chicken spring roll,Beef spring roll ,Vegetable Spring roll and Pork Spring rolls are famous across the world.
Here is how we can prepare the Chinese Chicken Spring Roll.
Ingredients


  • Dry Chinese mushroom-5(soaked and shredded)
  • Capsicum-3 nos
  • White cabbage(shredded)-2 cup
  • Mung bean sprouts-150 g
  • Lean Chicken -450 gm
  • Carrot-4 nos
  • Soy sauce-1tbsp
  • Black pepper powder-1/2 tsp
  • Glass noodles-1/2 package
  • Garlic-3 cloves
  • Ginger-1piece
  • Spring roll wrappers(frozen)-1package
  • All purpose flour-1/2 cup
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt-to taste

Method


  • Put the noodles in boiling water until it get soft.
  • Drain out the water and mix the noodles with some Chicken gravy or sauce.
  • Wash and remove the seeds of capsicum.
  • Cut the carrot into small cubes.
  • Saute the vegetables(mushroom,capsicum,cabbage and carrot) in oil until lightly tender.
  • Place all the vegetables in a bowl and add soy sauce,pepper powder and salt.
  • Wash and drain out the mung bean sprouts,mince the ginger and garlic.
  • Cut the Chicken into small thin strips(3 cm length).
  • Heat some oil in a pan and saute the minced ginger and garlic.
  • Add Chicken strips and cook until it get light brown or cooked.
  • Make a thick paste with flour and water.
  • Take one spring roll sheet from the package.
  • At the center ,put a small portion of vegetables,bean sprouts,pork and noodles at the top.
  • Take one corner of the wrapper and firmly tuck it under the filling.
  • Now fold the left and right corners into the middle.
  • Brush some flour paste on the 4 th corner and roll the spring roll until the last corner is firmly rolled up.
  • Keep it aside and continue the same until all the spring rolls are made.
  • Heat oil for deep fry and fry each spring rolls until lightly brown.
  • Remove and drain on a paper towels.
  • Serve it as a starter for meal time, or as a snack with chilly sauce and tomato sauce.

Notes;Use Beef /Pork instead of Chicken to make different varieties of Spring rolls.
