Vegetable chow mein recipe
Chow mein is a famous Chinese dish made with either one of two different kind of noodles. The two types are; soft noodles, and  thin crispy noodles which is  Hongkong style chow mein.
Here is how we can prepare  Vegetable chow mein recipe

Ingredients



  • Egg noodles-200 gm
  • Bamboo shoots-1 cup
  • Water chestnuts-1 can
  • Red bel pepper(cut into half and deseed)-1/2
  • Fresh snow peas-1cup
  • Celery-2 stalks
  • Ginger(chopped)-2 tsp
  • Soy sauce-2tbsp
  • Sugar-1 tbsp
  • Chinese rice vinegar-1tbsp
  • Moong bean sprouts-1 cup
  • Oil-2tbsp

Method


  • Cook the noodles in plenty of water and drain out the water.
  • Wash the vegetables in running water.
  • Make the red bell pepper and celery into thin strips and string the snow peas ,keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a vessel and fry the chopped ginger for few seconds.
  • Add the water chestnuts and fry them for a while.
  • Add the other vegetables(except moong bean sprouts).
  • Fry it for a few seconds and add noodles.
  • Now add soy sauce,sugar and vinegar ,stir well.
  • Finally add the moong bean sprouts and cook it another few seconds and serve it hot.
