Chow mein is a famous Chinese dish made with either one of two different kind of noodles. The two types are; soft noodles, and thin crispy noodles which is Hongkong style chow mein.

Ingredients
- Egg noodles-200 gm
- Bamboo shoots-1 cup
- Water chestnuts-1 can
- Red bel pepper(cut into half and deseed)-1/2
- Fresh snow peas-1cup
- Celery-2 stalks
- Ginger(chopped)-2 tsp
- Soy sauce-2tbsp
- Sugar-1 tbsp
- Chinese rice vinegar-1tbsp
- Moong bean sprouts-1 cup
- Oil-2tbsp
Method
- Cook the noodles in plenty of water and drain out the water.
- Wash the vegetables in running water.
- Make the red bell pepper and celery into thin strips and string the snow peas ,keep aside.
- Heat oil in a vessel and fry the chopped ginger for few seconds.
- Add the water chestnuts and fry them for a while.
- Add the other vegetables(except moong bean sprouts).
- Fry it for a few seconds and add noodles.
- Now add soy sauce,sugar and vinegar ,stir well.
- Finally add the moong bean sprouts and cook it another few seconds and serve it hot.
