Easy pazham pori recipe

Pazham Pori or Ethakka Appam, Pazham (banana) Boli is a term used for fried plantain in the Southern Indian state of Kerala. The plantain is usually dipped in sweetened wheat flour batter and then fried in coconut or vegetable oil.Plantain fry or Pazham Pori or Ethakka Appam is a very popular snack in Kerala.This is a standard item on the menu of any Kerala restaurant and is very tasty.It is a very popular snack among Keralites.
Here is an easy recipe to make Pazham Pori.
Ingredients


  1. Ripe plantain(nendran)-3nos(cut into 3,  length wise)
  2. Oil-for deep fry
  3. Maida-2cup
  4. Sugar-1/2cup(according to the sweetness)
  5. Baking soda(yeast)-1/2tsp
  6. Salt-a small pinch.
  7. Water-as required
Method
  • Make a thick paste with the ingredients from 3 to 7.
  • Keep it aside for 1 hour.
  • Dip the banana(plantain) slices in the batter and deep fry until golden brown in medium flame.
  • Enjoy the tasty and healthy snack.
