Spinach /Cheera cutlet
Spinach (Cheera) is a very healthy and vitamin rich vegetable.Children normally loves the cutlet prepared using Spinach /Cheera.Cutlet is a very popular recipe.Cutlet specifically refers to cooked vegetables or meat (mutton, pork, fish and chicken) stuffing that is fried with a batter/covering.

Ingredients

  1. Red cheera(Indian spinach)-1bunch(chopped)
  2. Potato-2nos
  3. Turmeric powder-a pinch
  4. Onion(chopped)-1big
  5. Green chilly(chopped)-3nos
  6. Ginger-garlic paste-2tbsp
  7. Curry leaves-2sprig
  8. Garam masala-1tsp
  9. Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  11. Beaten egg(maida paste)-2nos
  12. Bread crumbs-3cup
  13. Oil-for deep fry

Method

  • Cook the potato with turmeric powder and salt,mash the cooked potato and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the ingredients from4 to 7in order that which is given.
  • When it done add garam masala and pepper powder,fry until its raw smell disappears.
  • Add chopped cheera and cook it for 1 or 2 minutes.
  • Mix it with mashed potato.
  • Allow it to cool and make the patties.
  • Dip each patties in beaten egg or maida paste and roll it in bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry until golden brown.
  • It is a healthy snack for children who is not eating leafy vegetables.

Note:Cheera-Egg cutlet:-Add some scrambled egg when preparing the cutlet mixture,it makes the cutlet more healthy and tasty
