Cutlet is a very popular recipe. It is very tasty and can be prepared easily. We can make both vegetarian cutlets as well as non-vegetarian cutlets

The meat is precooked with spices like onion, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, coriander , green chillies, lemon and salt.
This is then dipped in an egg mix and then in breadcrumbs, and fried in ghee or vegetable oil.
Here is a quick and simple recipe to make Beef or Mutton Cutlets.

Ingredients

  1. Beef/mutton-1/2 kg
  2. Potato-3 or 4
  3. Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  4. Meat masala-1tbsp
  5. Black pepper powder-1tbsp
  6. Onion-1big(chopped)
  7. Ginger-garlic paste-4tbsp
  8. Green chilly-4nos(chopped)
  9. Beaten egg-3
  10. Bread crumbs-3cup
  11. Oil-for deep fry

Method

  • Cook the potato with turmeric powder and salt,mash the cooked potato and keep aside.
  • Cook the beef with turmeric powder,pepper powder and salt,mince the cooked meat and keep aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and saute the onion,when it get light brown color add ginger-garlic paste and green chilly.
  • When it raw smell disappears add meat masala and fry it another few seconds.
  • Now add minced meat and mashed potato,mix them well.
  • Remove it from fire when the entire water absorbed.
  • Make the patties and dip in beaten egg later by roll in bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry until golden brown.
  • Serve it hot with ketchup.
