Butter Chicken,Murg Makhani

Butter Chicken
Butter Chicken is among the best known Indian recipie all over the world.Otherwise known as Murg Makhani.
Butter Chicken tastes great with Kaali Daal , Naans and a green salad.


Ingredients:
  1. Boneless Chicken-1/2 kg
  2. Peanut Oil-3tbsp
  3. Onion (chopped)-1 (big)
  4. Butter-3tbsp
  5. Lemon Juice-1tbsp
  6. Ginger-Garlic Paste-1tbsp
  7. Garam Masala-2tsp
  8. Chili Powder-1 tsp
  9. Cumin seeds(powder) -1tsp
  10. Bay Leaf-2 nos
  11. Tomato Puree-1cup
  12. Yoghurt-1/2 cup
  13. Cream-4 tbsp
  14. Black Pepper-1/2 tsp
  15. cayenne Pepper-1tsp
  16. salt-as required
  17. Cornflour-1tbsp

Preperation
  • Heat 2 tbsp peanut oil in a frying pan and fry the onion.
  • When it becomes soft add the ingrediants from 4to 6,stir it well for few seconds.
  • Add garam masala (1 tsp), chili powder, cumin powder and bay leaf into the saucepan and Stir it for about 1 minute.
  • After that add tomato puree to this and Cook it for 2 minutes while stirring continuosly.
  • Add cream and yoghurt into this pan and mix it well.
  • Cook this for 8 to 10 minutes in low flame.
  • Add salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper into the mixture and remove the pan from heat.
  • Heat oil in an another heavy frying pan.
  • Cook the small chicken pieces until it gets slightly brown.
  • Season the chicken with garam masala and cayenne pepper.
  • Add 1/2 cup of already prepared gravy to this chicken and cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Now add the rest of the gravy and cornflour which is dissoled in the water.
  • Cook this until its get thickened(7to 10 minutes).
  • Delicious and very richy butter chicken is ready.
