Vada recipe
Vada or Medu vada is one of the most favorite south Indian dish.This is very tasty and usually served along with chutney or sambar. Vada socked in sambar is also famous in South India and is called Samabar Vada.Here is how we can prepare the tasty vada
Ingredients

  1. Black gram(urad dhal,uzhunnu parippu)-2 cup
  2. Onion(chopped)-1/2 no
  3. Green chilly(chopped)-2nos
  4. Pepper(crushed)-1tsp
  5. Ginger(chopped)-1tsp
  6. Coriander leaves(chopped)-a few
  7. Curry leaves-1sprig
  8. Salt- as required
  9. Soda powder-1/4 tsp
  10. Oil-for deep fry

Steps

  • Soak the dal in water for 6 hours.
  • Grind it without water(add 1/4 cup of water if needed).
  • Mix the ingredients from  2to9 with this batter.
  • Dip your hands in water and make a ball with this batter.
  • Make a hole at the center of the ball.
  • Deep fry in oil till golden brown.
  • Serve it hot with chutney or sambar.
