Easy idly recipe
Idly is perhaps the most famous South Indian dish.Idly is always considered as a healthy breakfast dish.Idly with combination of chutney and sambar is famous across India as well as countries where Indians are there.
Here is how you can prepare Idly quickly and easily.

Ingredients

  • Idli rice-4cup
  • Urad dhal-2cup
  • Cooked rice-1/2cup
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  • Wash and soak the rice and urad dhal for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Grind the above ingredients coarsely in a blender.
  • Keep aside for 8 hours or until it get fermented.
  • Add required salt just before cooking.
  • Grease the idle holder and fill  each of them with 3/4th full of batter.
  • Cook this about 10 minutes or until done.
  • Use a butter knife or spoon to remove the idli.
  • Serve it with chutney or sambar.
