Mysore pak
Ingredients
Mysore pak is a sweet dessert of Karnataka.It is made of ghee, sugar and chick pea (besan) flour.Mysore Pak was first created in the kitchens of the Mysore Palace .Milk Mysore pak is a variation chick pea (besan) flour is replaced by Skimmed Milk Powder. The preparation is similar to that of Mysore Pack.
Here is the recipe of Mysore PackIngredients
- Besan(gram flour)-2cup
- Ghee-2cup
- Sugar-2 &1/2 cup
- Water-1cup
- Mix the besan and melted ghee in a bowl.
- In a kadai,dissolve the sugar in 1 cup of water,stir continousely and simmer till the syrup is of string consistency.
- Add the flour mixture and mix well.
- Stir continously in one direction over medium heat.
- When the mixture starts to leaving the corners,switch off the flame and spread it to a greased tray.
- Cut into squares and enjoy.
