Kesari Bhath- Kesary bath
Kesari Bath is a very famous snack from Karnataka.It is a perfect dessert for any occasion as well as a tea time snack. It is easy to make/prepare Kesari bhaat.
Here is the recipe to make Kesari Bhath.
Ingredients
  • Rawa(fine sooji)-1cup
  • Sugar-1cup
  • Cashew nuts-3tbsp
  • Raisins-2tbsp
  • Cardamom powder-1/4tsp
  • Saffron(optional)-2pinches(soaked in 1tbsp warm milk)
  • Yellow color-few drops
  • Ghee-4tbsp-2&1/2cups
  • Water

Method
  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry the raisins and cashews,keep aside.
  • In the same ghee fry the rawa for 5 to 7 minutes(medium heat).
  • When the aroma smell exudes add water(make sure that no lumps) and sugar.
  • Add remaining ingredients (save some cashews and raisins to garnish),cover and simmer the flame until it get cooked.
  • Now add the color and mix well.
  • Remove it to a greasy dish and garnish it with cashew nuts and raisins..
