Here is the recipe to make Kesari Bhath.
Ingredients
- Rawa(fine sooji)-1cup
- Sugar-1cup
- Cashew nuts-3tbsp
- Raisins-2tbsp
- Cardamom powder-1/4tsp
- Saffron(optional)-2pinches(soaked in 1tbsp warm milk)
- Yellow color-few drops
- Ghee-4tbsp-2&1/2cups
- Water
Method
- Heat ghee in a pan and fry the raisins and cashews,keep aside.
- In the same ghee fry the rawa for 5 to 7 minutes(medium heat).
- When the aroma smell exudes add water(make sure that no lumps) and sugar.
- Add remaining ingredients (save some cashews and raisins to garnish),cover and simmer the flame until it get cooked.
- Now add the color and mix well.
- Remove it to a greasy dish and garnish it with cashew nuts and raisins..
