How to prepare Mangalore Rasam?

Ingredients
- Tuvar dhal - 1/2 cup.
- Tamarind - lime size.
- Tomatoes - 2
- Green chillies - 1
- Rasam Powder - 3 teaspoons
- Salt - 1-3/4 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- A small piece of jaggery
- Ghee - 1 teaspoon
- Red Chilly - 1
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Black gram dhal - 1/2 teaspoon
- Hing-1/4 tsp
- Coriander leaves
PREPERATION
- Cook the dhal and mash it well.
- Soak the tamarind for few minutes,squeeze and drain out the juice.
- Boil tamarind water with turmeric powder,chopped green chilli,chopped tomatoes and salt till its raw smell gone.
- Add the mashed dhal,jaggery, 1& 1/2 cups of water, and the rasam powder and boil till its get slightly thickened.
- Season it with the ingrediants from 9 to 13 and garnish with coriander.
- serve it hot with rice.
