Puttu recipe
Ingrediants
- puttu Powder - 2 cups (available in super markets)
- Salt - a couple pinches
- Warm water - 1/2 cup or so
- Grated Coconut - 1/2 nos
preperation
- Mix the puttu flour and salt well.
- Sprinkle some warm water and mix the flour until it gets a bit moist.(do not use too much water)
- Put a thin layer of grated coconut in the puttukutty and top with about 1/3 cup of flour.
- Add another layer of coconut and then mixed flour until you reach the top.
- Fix it onto a pressure cooker for steaming.
- Usualy 10 to 12 minutes is needed and then remove and unmould.
- Now the taesty puttu is ready.
- It can be serve with kadala kurry or anyother veg and non veg curry.its very taesty with banana too.
