Tomato rasam, Thakkali rasam
Tomato Rasam or thakali rasam is the famous south Indian Rasam. This is good for health and is easy o prepare.Here is how we can prepare rasam.

1.Tomato – 3nos
2. Garlic --2 tbsp
3. Dry Red Chillies – 3nos
4. Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
5. Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
6. Chilly Powder – 1 tsp
7. Rasam Powder – 2 tbsp
8. Curry Leaves – A few
9. Coriander Leaves – A few
10. Tamarind Extract / Paste – 2tbsp
11. Salt – As required
12. Water – 2 cups
13. Black Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
14. Asafoetida-- 1/2 tsp
Preperation
Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and crackle the mustard seeds.
Add dry red chillies and saute.
Add Chopped garlic and tomatoes and saute.
Add curry leaves and coriander Leaves.
Add turmeric, chilly and rasam powder and stir for a few seconds.
Mix the Tamarind Paste with 2 cups of water and pour into the pan.
Add salt to taeste allow it to boil.
Finally, sprinkle pepper powder and asafoetida.
Tips:Rasam powder is a mixture of coriander powder, chilly powder, cumin powder, fenugreek and asafoetida. Instead of readymade powder you can prepare it from your home itself.
