Pazha Pradhaman - Onam special recipe, Pazhaprathaman recipe

Pazha Pradhaman ( Pazhaprathaman) is one of the must recipe for onasadya.

How to prepare:
Ingredients

    • Banana(nentra kaya)-1/2 kg
    • Jaggery-1/2 kg
    • Ghee-1/2 cup
    • Coconut(grated)-2nos
    • Cardamom(powder)-1tsp
    • Dry ginger powder-1/2 tsp
    • cashew nuts-50gm
    • kismis-50gm
    • coconut(thin slices-for frying)-3tbsp

Preparation steps:
  1. Cook the banana by steaming it and smash it well.
  2. Heat 1 cup of water and add jaggery in it.Heat it till jaggery melts completely
  3. Squeeze the grated coconut and take 1 cup of thick first milk and 3 cups of second milk.
  4. Heat the ghee in a cooking pan, add the smashed banana and fry it for few minutes.
  5. Then mix it with the liquid jaggery and stir it well for further 4 minutes.
  6. Add the second coconut milk to this mixture.
  7. When its get thickened add cardamom and dry ginger powder to it.
  8. Then mix it with the first coconut milk and cook it for few minutes.
  9. Add fried cashew nuts,kismis and coconut pieces into this Pradhaman.
Pazha Pradhaman is ready serve it hot.
