- Garlic (chopped)- 10 pods
- Tamarind-A small lime sized ball
- Tomato-1nos
- Rasam powder-1 tbsp
- Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida-1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
- Salt- to taste
- oil-2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds-1 tsp
- Curry leaves- A few
- Dry red chillies-3 nos
- coriander leaves -A few
- Soak the tamarind in 1 cup warm water for few minutes and extract the juice.
- Chop the tomato finely.
- Garlic(chopped) ,tamarind juice, tomatoes, turmeric powder, salt, asafoetida,pepper powder, rasam powder and curry leaves bring to boil in a pan.
- Once it boils,let it simmer the fire and keep it there for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in an another frying pan and crack the mustard seeds.
- Add dry red chillies and few curry leaves.
- Add boiled tamarind extract to this pan.
- Mix it well together and garnish it with coriander leaves.
