Ada Pradhaman and Ada Pradhaman Payasam is another specialty of Onam and is an integral part of Onasdya.

How to prepare Ada Pradhaman.

Ingrediants

  • Ada-3 cups
  • Jaggery-1/2 kg
  • Ghee-4tbs
  • Coconut-2nos(grated)
  • Cardomoms-1tsp(grinded)
  • Dry ginger powder -1tsp
  • Cashew nuts-50gm
  • Kismis-50gm (Dry Grapes)

Preperation
  • Heat 1 cup of water and melt the Jaggery.
  • squeeze the grated coconut and take 1 cup of thick first milk and 3 cup of second milk.
  • Heat 4tbsp ghee and add the Ada.
  • Cook it for a little time.
  • Then add the melted jaggery.
  • Stir it continuously.
  • After 3 minutes add the second coconut milk.
  • Again stir it and add cardamom powder and dry ginger powder.
  • When its get thickened add the first coconut milk and cook it for few seconds.
  • Mix the cashew nuts and kismis which is fried in ghee .

Delicious Ada Pradhaman is ready,traditional serve it in a banana leaf with onasadhya.
